Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Funds Best Entrepreneurship Student Prize with N$10 000 in Namibia

For the second year in a row, the Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) Fund has shown support for Centre for Enterprise Development (CED) and the National Disability Council of Namibia’s Entrepreneurship Training Programme.

MVA gave prize money to the best overall student in the training programme, to the tune of N$10 000.

Ms Ndahafa Haininga, who is physically disabled, could not hold back her tears when she heard her name being called. “This is the best day of my life. I am very proud of myself, as I did not think that I could complete this training. Thank you very much MVA.”

Haininga obtained the best overall mark in entrepreneurship, financial management, computer literacy and marketing.

She is one of 21 students with disabilities that graduated from the programme in 22 November 2019. This programme is a collaboration between NUST, through the CED and NDCN.

The aim of this programme is to equip marginalised groups with the skills and knowledge to manage business operations in a sustainable manner.

So far, the programme has graduated 146 entrepreneurs since its inception in 2014.
