Automated External Defibrillator (AED) & Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

1.Basic First Aid 

The Basic First Aid Course is highly recommended to companies and is only a one day course. Although this course is not accredited as an official first aid course in Namibia, it still serves the purpose of providing basic first aid training to those who do not have the time to do a 3 day course. Candidates who complete the course receive a certificate valid for 2 years. Please note that this course is aimed at providing an introduction to the essentials of First Aid.Our Basic First Aid course covers the following topics for Practical application

  • Responsibilities of the First Aider
  • The principles of First Aid
  • The Call for help
  • Safety and Scene management
  • The primary & Secondary survey
  • Breathing difficulty & Artificial Respiration
  • Medical Emergencies
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Trauma Emergencies
  • Abdominal Injuries
  • Shock
  • Chest Injuries
  • Head, Neck and Face Injuries
  • Burn wounds
  • Poisons
  • Bites and Stings
  • Environmental Problems with heat and cold
  • Musculoskeletal Injuries
  • Dealing with emotional problems

Duration: 6 – 8 Hours

Certification: Basic First Aid for Adult or Children attendance certificate (not approved by Ministry of Labour)

PLEASE NOTE: ALL COURSE PARTICIPANTS MUST PLEASE REGISTER BEFORE ATTENDING ANY COURSE.

2. First Aid Class A 

The Class A course is recommended to companies or individuals who need to comply with the Labour Act or who are interested in gaining a comprehensive understanding of common first aid emergencies and how to react to them. After successful completion of the course a certificate is issued which is valid for 3 years.Our First Aid Class A course covers the following topics:

  • Legality
  • Responsibilities of the First Aider
  • The principles of First Aid
  • The Call for help
  • Basic Terminology
  • Basic Anatomy and Physiology
  • Safety and Scene management
  • The Primary & Secondary survey
  • Breathing difficulty
  • Artificial Respiration
  • Medical Emergencies
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Trauma Emergencies
  • Abdominal Injuries
  • Shock
  • Chest Injuries
  • Head, Neck and Face Injuries
  • Burn wounds
  • Poisons
  • Bites and Stings
  • Environmental Problems with heat and cold
  • Musculoskeletal Injuries
  • Evacuation and Transport techniques
  • Dealing with emotional problems

Duration: 3 Days

3.Toddler First Aid 

This course is recommended for anyone who regularly works with children; e.g. parents, child caregivers, teachers, babysitters or nannies and discusses common emergencies that occur in children. After the course a certificate of completion will be issued, valid for 1 year.

Duration: 6 Hours
