Postgraduate Studies

A recognised degree in a related discipline or an equivalent qualifcation at NQF Level 7 for Honours degrees, NQF Level 8 for Masters degrees and NQF Level 9 for Doctor of Philosophy degrees. Postgraduate Certifcate in Information Systems (Information Systems Audit) – Applicants should attach a motivation letter focusing on their work experience and involvement in the Auditing related processes.

Submit a short essay of not more than 400 words (MS word, calibri 12, single spacing, justifed) including your full name, cell number, email address, the reason why you want to embark on the Master of Health Sciences. In addition, provide us with 350 words describing your proposed research area, a possible topic, a short background, the aim (s) and objective (s), Methodology, the signifcant of your study, a source of funding (if any).

Minimum Admission Requirements

• A recognised four-year Bachelor degree from a recognised institution, or an equivalent qualifcation at NQF Level 8, which shall include a component of supervised research, or a recognised graduate degree with a research component.

• Appropriate managerial experience and employement at senior/ executive level or a successful record in an ambitious, growthoriented entreprise

• Be employed or self-employed, at the required level, for the duration of the programme.

A simplifed analytical skills test modelled on the GMAT® will be used in the selection process. Additionally, profciency in the English language should be demonstrated at the appropriate level through written assessments under controlled conditions, while applicants may also be required to take part in an interview.

Before you apply to NUST please familiarise yourself with the programmes / qualifications on offer as well as the admission requirements.

After deciding on a qualification you are willing to pursue, you may:

  • Apply to NUST online at https://ienabler.nust.na/pls/prodi41/w99pkg.mi_login.  Applying online provides you with immediate notification that your application has been received.  You will also be able to follow the progress of your application online. Online applications is FREE!
  • Apply manually by downloading the application form, complete and submit at the NUST Main Campus or any of the Regional Centres or via the post. An application fee of N$150 for undergraduate and N$240 for postgraduate is payable.

WHEN TO APPLY

The closing date for all applications except application through Mature Age Entry Scheme is 31 August. The closing date for applications through the Mature Age Entry Scheme is 31 July. Applicants will be notified in writing as soon as possible after the closing date whether their applications for admission have been successful or not.

If the application is received after the closing date, the prescribed non-refundable late application fee of N$440 must accompany the application. No late applications will be considered for admission via the Mature Age Entry Scheme.  The Namibia University of Science and Technology reserves the right to reject any such late applications.

CERTIFIED COPIES OF DOCUMENTS THAT MUST ACCOMPANY YOUR APPLICATION ARE:

  • Identity Document or Birth Certificate (Namibian Citizens);
  • Passport (non-Namibian citizens);
