Ondangwa Town Council mandate derives from Article 1 and Chapter 12 of the Namibian Constitution, and the Local Authority Act, 1992, ( Act 23 of 1992) as amended, and is:
To Govern and administer Local authority affairs within the proclaimed Local authority area of Ondangwa subject to legislation.

To govern and administer local affairs of our stakeholders through planning, coordination and partnerships in the delivery of urban services towards prosperity.
