What is Fundamentals of Web Development?
Web development is the work involved in developing a website for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an intranet (a private network). Web development can range from developing a simple single static page of plain text to complex web applications, electronic businesses, and social network services.

This course is about the fundamental technologies and principles of the web. Technologies include the TCP/IP stack, HTTP, HTML/CSS and PHP. Principles include the structure of the web, small-world networks, web search, communities and advertising. The major building blocks of the web are HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We will be talking about all three languages. We can also think of web development as being split into two main categories: front end and back end.
