Our 6200-hectare resort can best be explored over 2-3 days with many activities including game drives, bird watching, hiking /self hiking, mountain viewpoints and more! Explore the beautiful Otavi area which is part of the maize triangle consisting of Otavi, Tsumeb and Grootfontein and receives the highest average rainfall in Namibia. Other activities offered include Agricultural Tours, Wine Estate tours and Day Trips to the Etosha National Park. Luxury rooms, Standard Rooms, Thatch Roof Rooms and a Camping site offers many different accommodation options to accommodate all needs.
Gabus Game Ranch is being run by the german-speaking family Kuehl, currently in it’s 5th generation. 

Facilities

Lodge Area

The Lodge Area features a Swimming Pool with a direct view onto the waterhole which is only located 50M from the pool. The Pool is divided into 2 parts, one deep and one shallow section suitable for children in particular travelling with parents. A Sundowner Deck is built in the swimming pool area facing the beautiful African sunsets at dusk times. Enjoy African sunsets around a fireplace until the darkness comes up and unpacks the astonishing African Night Sky while you are peacefully observing the wildlife at the waterhole. 

Water Hole

Only 50M from the Lodge Area is a Waterhole where the beautiful African wildlife comes by to quench their thirst. The Lodge Waterhole is illuminated by night so wildlife can be observed around the clock. Guests staying in Luxury rooms can observe wildlife from their room balcony or even while lying in bed depending on the angle of the particular luxury room.

• Giraffes
• Small Animals including Jackals, Damara Dik-Dik
• A big variety of birds

The Bar & Restaurant

At Gabus, you’ll enjoy the wild natural beauty of Africa savannah from the comfort of our well-equipped lodge.

After an exciting afternoon game drive, quell your hunger at our on site buffet restaurant – we can cater to all dietary needs if you inform us prior to arrival.

Our organic selection of vegetables which are partly grown on Gabus served with game meat from Gabus prepared in our farm-style butchery will amaze your taste buds. The buffet usually also includes a number of different starches as well as a sauce.

When it’s time to check up on the outside world, connect to our wifi networks, available throughout the common areas, or sit down at the bar to watch the news, movies or your favorite late night sporting event on TV.
