WELCOME TO Schützenhaus Guesthouse

The Schützenhaus Guesthouse, established in 1907, is the oldest German Club in Southern Africa. It was privatised after 98 years and is now a prestigious guesthouse in Keetmanshoop.

It is situated in the Pastorie Street and its tranquil surroundings are a true resting place for the weary traveler. It is the ideal base station for guests wishing to explore the Mesosaurus Fossil Trail, Quiver Tree Forest, Fish River Canyon, Giant’s Playground and other tourist attractions in and around Keetmanshoop. Here you can re-live the good old times.

It boasts a selection of 26 en suite rooms with good Wifi connectivity, TV and a coffee/tea station, an A la Carte restaurant, private bar, and barbecue facilities for the self-catering guest. We also offer 4 camping facilities with ablutions and a swimming pool.

Keetmanshoop is an area which is well known for its quiver tree forests and eroded rock formations and thus is a popular destination. Other renowned attractions in the South are the Giant’s Playground, Fish River Canyon and the Desert Horses, which are within easy reach of each other
