Integrated water resources management (IWRM) has been defined by the Global Water Partnership (GWP) as “a process which promotes the coordinated development and management of water, land and related resources, in order to maximize the resultant economic and social welfare in an equitable manner without compromising the sustainability of vital ecosystems”
Entry Requirement
The Master of Integrated Water Resources Management seeks to recruit suitably qualified students who are capable of benefitting from, contributing to, and successfully completing the programme. The admission requirements for the programme are as follows: • A relevant Bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution, or an equivalent qualification at NQF Level 8, that shall include a component of independent research or recognised graduate degree with a research component; • A minimum of two years’ work experience. • Any other equivalent qualifications and experience as agreed by the Senate.
