Requirements
Candidates may be admitted to this programme if they meet the General Admission Requirements of the Namibia University of Science and Technology (GI 2.1 in the NUST Yearbook Part 1). Mature Age candidates will be considered provided they meet the requirements and pass the mature age entrance examinations as required by the Namibia University of Science and Technology (GI 2.2 in the NUST Yearbook Part 1). Applications will be scanned and possible exemption methods will be introduced for students with former knowledge of Business Applications/Information Administration. Candidates who qualify to be exempted from Business Applications 1A will undertake a proper pre-assessment which will test their practical knowledge on the following: • Keyboard competence and accuracy • Speed ability of 15 w.p.m. • Basic knowledge of MS Word The passing mark for this assessment is 50 %. Holders of the NUST Diploma in Office Management and Technology may be admitted into the programme with advanced standing on a course by course credit at the discretion of the Department.
