Triumphant College Branches/Campuses

Triumphant College Branches/Campuses

Overview

Tertiary educational needs of the country are spread around the country. Yet many tertiary level institutions are situated mainly in the Capital, Windhoek. This makes it necessary for students in regions other than Windhoek to move to the capital and obtain accommodation there for them to obtain further education. Parents have to spend extra for accommodation and upkeep.

The College wishes to lessen this burden by establishing branches around the country to provide opportunity to all. In this regard, the College has opened branches in Rundu and Katima Mulilo, and intends to open more branches as resources allow. Establishing Advisory boards with members from the community around the College branches are an important aspect that the College always ensures is done, and done well to entrench good relations with the communities served.

Teaching started in February 2010 with a good initial enrolment. Selected programmes which were deemed popular were started first, with the view of expanding the programme offering over time. Key resources were also provided including computers and student and staff furniture to ensure that the branch starts in a position of strength.

The Rundu Branch

Background

The Rundu branch of Triumphant College was established in 2008. A staff team comprising of the Principal and key staff was appointed. Extensive promotion was done in the local and national media to obtain good enrolments for the first intake. This was successful and the branch enrolment figures continuously increased. Almost all courses offered in the Main Campus at Windhoek are also offered there. The branch enjoys good support and warm relations with the community, and plans are underway to obtain sizeable land in which will house the branch as a permanent home.
