Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BS-FAR) is a four-year degree program designed to teach the concepts of fisheries management, environmental management and multi-sectoral approach to coastal management. Entry Requirement:

Candidates wishing to join the BSc in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (Hons) must have obtained a valid Secondary Certificate Ordinary Level (NSSC O-Level) or a recognized equivalent qualification, provided that a candidate has passed five subjects with a minimum of 25 points on the UNAM Evaluation Point Scale.

The following minimum requirements will apply:

i) English with a “C” symbol or better at NSSC O-Level (English as a Second Language); and

ii) Mathematics and Biology with a “C” symbol or better at NSSC O-Level; and

iii) At least a “D” symbol or better in Physical Science, Chemistry or Physics; and

iv) Any fifth additional subject

v) Candidates with a three-year Diploma in Agriculture, Forestry, Natural Resources or Fisheries and Marine/Aquatic Sciences from a recognized and accredited institution may be granted admission to the Faculty’s undergraduate degree programmes. Such candidates may be exempted from certain modules in the degree programme provided that equivalent modules were completed with a pass mark of 60% of higher.
