What is Diploma in Local Government Studies?

The Diploma in Local Government Studies provides a more in-depth and analytical treatment of the main local authority services. It is also designed to amplify and build on the foundation coverage of legislation provided by the Certificate.

Entry Requirement:

Only those candidates who hold a valid NSSC or any other equivalent qualification will be allowed to register for the programme. Other requirements include at least a D grade in English, and a minimum of 22 points on the UNAM Evaluation point Scale. The later does not necessarily ensure and/or guarantee admission. Entrance is based on the availability of places and is awarded on merit. The University faculty reserves the right to interview candidates before admission. Admission could also be considered for persons who qualify through the Mature Age Entry Scheme upon successful completion of relevant examinations set out in the General Regulations. A special application form is provided for that purpose.
