Job Description

Main Purpose of Job

Support the Director on delivery of designated engagement / project, managing the implementation of the agreed deliverables;

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Track outputs against Service Level Agreement and report to Director on any unforeseen issues arising;
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals/tenders and presentations on request;
  • Is a support resource in planning of sales presentations and client negotiation teams for new and retained business;
  • Develop market network in business and build relationships that generate leads;
  • Build relationships across Deloitte  service lines to understand broader offerings and seek opportunities for cross-selling;
  • Generate innovative solutions on projects / engagements in collaboration with team members to enhance / renew service offerings to client;
  • Demonstrated ability to win and retain business through excellent delivery and client relationships, ability to shape opportunities;
  • Generate productive, credible and trusting relationships with senior client management internally at Deloitte and externally in the Market;
  • Ensures that professional, technical or client service issues are resolved appropriately;
  • Manages day-to-day deliverables of team on client engagements / projects; 
  • Participate in thought leadership process and share functional and industry knowledge and expertise with clients, colleagues and teams; 
  • Demonstrate a business oriented approach to problem solving and client service;
  • Detailed understanding of the business and how Deloitte services can assist in achieving the client objectives within the service line;
  • Manage engagement/project risk to ensure that the firm’s risk policies as well as risk to client confidentiality is aligned at all times;
  • Consistently review and analyse standard and quality of team deliverables and implement changes as necessary;
  • Meet regularly with client and client teams to understand issues, anticipate needs and address these;
  • Keep Director updated on status of engagement;  
  • Communicate need for any changes in engagement / project plan to Director for discussion with Engagement sponsor / client
  • Provide ongoing communication to teams on status of engagement / project, changes, achievements, etc;
  • Drive Deloitte values of exceptional service to clients, growing the firm’s brand and talent development;
  • Manage teams, streams ensuring quality or Technical SME focused on delivery;
  • Manage engagement budget through accurate budgeting,  cost control and profitability management; 
  • Monitor that time and expenses on engagement are accurately recorded and submitted weekly;
  • Proficiency in WIP, Billing, Debtors and Revenue management;  and
  • Cost and manage engagements profitably.

Qualifications

Qualification:

  • BSC Computer Science, BSC Honours Computer Science, BSC Maths Statistics, BEng (all disciplines), BCom (Informatics preferred).  

Desired:

  • Certifications in Analytics practices or advanced degrees in data analytics/data science

Experience:

  • 8 years working experience

Desired: 

  • 8 years related experience
