The Chancellor of University of Namibia UNAM visits campuses at Windhoek

Students and staff encouraged to “keep it up”

UNAM Chancellor Dr Nangolo Mbumba made his first visit to the Hage Geingob, Khomasdal and Neudamm Campuses, this week. During his visits he met with campus management, staff members, student leaders and mingled with students in the corridors.




The Chancellor toured the various science labs, lecture halls, student gym facilities, campus cafeterias, as well as the state-of-the-art newly built Health Centre at the Hage Geingob Campus. At the Neudamm Campus he familiarised himself with the various fresh produce and horticulture projects underway on the Campus. egfwd.com The Chancellor commented: “I took off my suit today, and took time, to come visit and meet you all, along mingling with the students in their daily routines.”

The Chancellor was joined on his visit by Vice Chancellor Professor Lazarus Hangula and Associate Professor Kenneth Matengu, Pro-Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation & Development.

The Chancellor made similar familiarisation visits to most of UNAM’s 12 campuses during the 2018 graduation season.
