PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To executive secretarial and administrative functions in the Executive’s office

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Grade 12 plus a National Secretarial Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Five years  practical secretarial experience
  • Working knowledge of secretarial and office management function.  Knowledge of MS suite of office programmes
  • Typing skills (45 wpm)

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To supervise, plan, coordinate and control the construction and maintenance of the permanent way, to ensure that construction and maintenance standards are adhered to, for the Company to achieve its objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Diploma in Track Maintenance, Train Operations certificate and Code BE vehicle license
  • Eight years practical experience as a Technical Supervisor in the permanent way environment
  • Working knowledge and understanding of construction and maintenance of permanent way and new work projects
  • Analytical, short and medium term planning and organizing skills
  • Good communication, leadership and technical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Computer literacy

  • Supervision
  • Planning, coordination and control of permanent way construction and maintenance
