UNAM Press’ Latest Books Confronts Genocide

Appropriately titled “The Genocidal Gaze: From German South West Africa to the Third Reich”, UNAM Press’ latest book, for many Namibians, hits close to home, as it, by literary means, unravels the dark unsavoury links between imperialism and genocide. The book makes due reference to the genocide that occurred in pre-independent Namibia. Launched just last month, the book was authored by Professor Elizabeth Baer, and was part of the Past Present and Future of Namibian Heritage Conference that pulled participants from all over the world sharing ideas about Namibian history and heritage. A copy of the book is available for N$250.00 at the UNAM Press Office and all book shops.
