STUDENTS WITH OLD CURRICULUM OUTSTANDING SUBJECTS

Are you an IUM student with a subject outstanding from an old curriculum qualification that has been discontinued?
If yes – this is important information and your last chance to complete that qualification

What must I do?
It depends on the level, or levels, that you have a subject, or subjects, outstanding For all students affected you must bring your academic records with you to registration and complete a form for equivalent subjects.
Honours degree year 1
Honours degree year 2
You must register for and successfully complete an equivalent subject from the new curriculum in 2019. Details of which subjects are equivalent are available at any IUM campus.
Honours degree year 3
One subject outstanding you must register for and complete one equivalent subject from the new curriculum in 2019.
Two subjects outstanding you must register for and successfully complete three equivalent subjects. Details of which subjects are equivalent are available at any IUM campus. You must bring your academic records with you to registration and complete a form for equivalent subjects.
More than two – speak to your Dean or Academic Head at your Campus. A full transfer to the new curriculum with exemptions might be a better option. Year 4 of a discontinued Honours Degree (including additional subjects required in your exemption letter).
You will have a last opportunity to benefit from a brief revision session, covering key points and allowing you to ask questions. After the School you will have the opportunity to take an exam at Summer School in January.
The registration form/information sheet is available on the University website (www.ium.edu.na) and in January a timetable will also be posted there.
