About Us
Marinda Coleman is an independent Legal Practitioner with an unwavering belief in what is right, in honesty, impartiality, fairness and client confidentiality. She prides herself in upholding these values. She is compassionate, dedicated and focused on obtaining the best possible results for her clients.
She was admitted as an attorney to the Supreme Court of South West Africa in 1987. After completing her articles at Muller and Brand in Windhoek, she went to the United Kingdom. There she joined the probate department of Kingsley Napley, a London Firm of Solicitors, administering deceased estates. She returned to Namibia just before Independence and has been practising in Windhoek without interruption, since then.
The Practice
Marinda Coleman Attorneys is a boutique law practice with a wealth of experience. We have a small but experienced and dedicated staff which includes assistant Wanda Hyman who has been with Marinda since 1989.
Practice Areas
The practice specialises in the following areas of the law:
Property Law
This governs the various forms of ownership and tenancy in real property and in personal property, within the common law legal system. Marinda specializes in the above, including conveyancing and drafting of agreements between parties in property related transactions.
Business and Commercial Law
Marinda specializes in the sale of businesses, including the drafting of agreements of sale and as a skilled negotiator, she assists in negotiations between parties.
Drafting of Wills
Drafting a last will and testament directs how an estate’s assets must be distributed upon death. Marinda believes that experience in the administration of deceased estates is a prerequisite for the drafting of a will.
Administration of Deceased Estates
A deceased estate must be administered and distributed in terms of the deceased’s will. Miranda is very experienced with the administration of deceased estates, with a particular affinity for the administration of farm estates.
