Town Council of Rehoboth Job Vacancies 2023
Rehoboth Town Overview
The Rehoboth Town Council is governed in terms of the Local Authorities Act (Act 23 of 1992). Over and above the Act, Rehoboth Town Council’s operations are guided by the formulated Vision, Mission and Values. Focused solely on service delivery, the Council plays a critical role in underpinning economic growth and improvements in people’s lives.
Rehoboth is located 90 km south of the capital Windhoek with approximately 40 000 inhabitants (this include the immediate surrounding, rural community). The Town enjoys a strategic location on the national highway, untapped natural resources, including tourism and eco-tourism potential, low cost for land, business properties and a potential market.
Public amenities include a public hospital, primary and secondary schools and a district court with a resident magistrate. The Oanob Dam, approximately six kilometres from Rehoboth, supplies the town with fresh water. The majority of the population consists of Basters.
