University of Namibia (UNAM) Applications through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) 2020

Applications through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to study at UNAM during the 2020 academic year are now invited.

What and Why RPL:

RPL application is an alternative mode of application to gain access to UNAM academic programmes. The aim of RPL is to provide potential candidates an opportunity to have their competencies, skills and knowledge gained through non-certificated learning contexts recognised and assessed to gain admission to study and obtain a University qualification.

RPL is located within the broader context of the National Policy on RPL, the University of Namibia’s Act 18 of 1992 and UNAM’s vision of driving towards a knowledge-based economy, economic growth and improved quality of life.

Programmes open for RPL applicants:

The following selected programmes, at either diploma, bachelor degree or master degree level, will be admitting successful applicants through RPL applications: Visual Arts disciplines, Media, Nursing Science (Clinical), Law and Education.

How to apply:

Download the RPL application form, complete the form and submit the form with all supporting documentation and proof of payment to the nearest Campus or Regional Centre.

Closing date: 29 November 2019
