Acting today for a better tomorrow.

A decade ago we established the Wolwedans Foundation; an initiative that we are proud to support every year.

Since establishment in 2010, the Foundation has, with the support of the Namibian Training Authority, educated more than 250 young Namibians in hospitality training and culinary art. This vocational training takes place in the Wolwedans Desert Academy, and the Namibian Institute of Culinary Education (NICE) in Windhoek. Plans to extend the Desert Academy into a fully-fledged campus remain a priority, however, we continue to train and educate, while providing a unique opportunity to engage trainees in a ‘Living Classroom‘ environment that gives them a distinct edge and advantageous industry experience, before graduation.

The Wolwedans Foundation has also laid the groundwork for its most ambitious intervention: revitalizing the village of Maltahöhe in southern Namibia. As our closest community, it is also a society in need. Since the collapse of the farming industry in this arid and remote corner of Namibia, employment opportunities have all but evaporated.
